"Then he said to Thomas, 'Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.' Thomas answered him, 'My Lord and my God!' Jesus said to him, 'Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.'" John 20:27-29
Our faith is not founded on Eucharistic miracles, but on the proclamation of the Lord Jesus, received with faith through the action of the Holy Spirit. Eucharistic miracles can encourage us to understand, appreciate and love the Eucharist; they can help us understand the astounding miracle, the real presence of Jesus becoming our spiritual food for our salvation, that occurs whenever the Eucharist is celebrated.
The exhibit contains 126 miracles approved by Bishops of the Catholic Church and are on 140 exhibit panels including 17 maps showing where the miracles occurred in 20 countries. Most of the churches at the sites of the miracles are Eucharistic sanctuaries or shrines honoring the miracle.
A special 30 minute introductory presentation of three of the miracles will begin in Emmaus Hall at 6PM on Saturday and again at 11AM Sunday.
A Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration in Emmaus Hall will conclude each days viewing of the exhibit beginning at 9PM Saturday and at 9PM Sunday.
The Light of Life Community and St John University Parish is blessed to be able to present this excellent exhibit. A Special thanks to The Real Presence Eucharistic Education and Adoration Association and to Dr. Ryckman for their assistance in bringing this exhibit to Morgantown.
